One of a Kind California Indigo Quilt 75x55in

This quilt is Reversible with different patterns on each sides. Made from homespun, handwoven 100% cotton, indigo dyed and hand-stitched with blue thread. Double layers of our cotton. On one side, we can see patch of Indigo California pattern and on the other side random dots. Both fabrics are made with light cotton and dyed with a mud resist technique. 

We decided to create those quilts to reduce our fabric wastes as we always try. We've done it in the past and right now we are doing a new series of one of a kind quilts with remnant fabrics from our production. Our artisans are automatically creating these quilts if we have enough remnants. We stick with our values focusing on color and texture with a sustainable product.

Process: Somnath is the artisan from West Bengal who hand spun and weave this cotton fabric. This throw is dyed, cut, sewn and hand-stitched in Rajasthan where we met a happy cooperative during our last trip to India. The manager started this cooperative to provide jobs to the women around so they could send their kids at school.

Care: To maintain its beauty, cold hand wash separately. Refresh in a bath of gentle soap or gently use your hands to slightly rub. Use a natural detergent that does not contain citrus or other acidic oil scents. Machine dry on low or hang dry out of direct sunlight.

Dark indigo pieces may bleed and stain other clothing if washed with other items or if they become damp from perspiration, rain, etc. We recommend washing them separately or with jeans for the first few washes.

This product has been dyed or block-printed using ancient techniques. Colors may gradually change over time.
